Artist Spotlight - Four Year Strong

Four Year Strong is taking the world by storm with their blend of pop-punk and hardcore. Vocalist Dan O’Connor says that the band has always had a different take on pop punk, naturally writing “with a more aggressive, high energy feel.” (AbsolutePunk) We’re definitely into the energy of the double kicks and the melodic choruses on Four Year Strong’s latest record Enemy of The World, out today. O’Connor says “We just play exactly what we want to hear!” Catchy + fast = exactly what we at GetMusic want to hear too.

Four Year Strong’s 2007 debut Rise or Die Trying captured the ears of Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and in February 2008 the band announced its partnership with Wentz’ Decaydence Records. Over the past few years, the five piece from Worcester, Massachusetts has shared the stage with acts such as New Found Glory, The Starting Line, Thursday, Bring Me the Horizon and Everytime I Die – just to name a few.

And, Four Year Strong will be coming to a stage near you soon. They have dates all across Canada starting March 13. Plus you can catch them on this year’s Warped Tour. Check out the band’s MySpace for dates.
